The
Azienda Agraria Chiorri is to be found along an enological
route called the “Strada del Cantico” in the heart
of a territory rich in natural, historical artistic and cultural
influences. From the colours of Giotto to the tastes of Umbria,
from the glimpses of cities of art, from the ancient villages
to the panoramic roadways, to the cantines with their smell
of wet earth to the locations which are testimony to the lives
of famous saints, the “Strada del Cantico”, passes
through the municipalities of: Todi, Marsciano, Perugia, Torgiano,
Bettona, Cannara, Spello, Assis and Bastia Umbria. The route
could start from none other than Todi, the land of Jacopone
and from here continues to Marsciano towards Perugia where
it follows thepanoramic road dominated by the “strada
della collina” or the “strada dei Santi”,
our chosen location which valorizes the typical Umbrian vine
varieties: Grechetto, Trebbiano and Sangiovese.
The Cantina is located in a strategic position at only a
few kilometres from the Medieval centre of Perugia, at less
than 15 km from the mystical Assisi and only 3km from Deruta,
the home of hand-painted ceramics.
Whether one decides to follow an historical-cultural itinerary
or one prefers a recreational tour one should not miss out
on a stopover at the Cantina Chiorri in order to admire the
suggestive view together with an excellent glass of wine.
